I had my very own vintage baby shower recently to celebrate the impending arrival of my little bundle of joy.  When planning my baby shower with a friend, I wanted to take on the styling and decorating myself  with a whole showroom full of Teacups and Roses goodies to choose from!  The styling is my favourite part after all 🙂  Thanks to Julie’s organisation, all the girls were in charge of bringing along delicious treats for our high tea on the day.

My husband Graeme and I are having a surprise with regards to the sex of our baby, so I had to bare this in mind when planning the styling aspect of the baby shower.  I used a whole host of our vintage hire items including all our china, silver cutlery, bone handle knives, cake stands and linen for the high tea.  A refreshment station was set up with our fabulous drinks dispenser (non alcoholic of course!) and champagne coupes.  For an added touch I pegged baby clothes from one of our vintage wooden doors and even some furniture from sites as https://www.treasurerooms.com/shop/shop-by-brands/baby-appleseed.html which are great for any baby.  I used our plain white bunting to decorate the room, our vintage wooden chairs for seating and set up a vintage lounge with our old trunk and vintage sofa’s for guests to relax.

We had a fabulous afternoon, I was spoilt rotten and I really want to thank all my lovely friends and family for making it a baby shower to remember!
